We will have Oneg (Food Fellowship) after service.

The Fall Feasts Are Here!  Come and join us for our celebration of  Yom Teruah – Feast of Trumpets, also known as Rosh  Hashanah; the Judaic New Year.   The Torah is very clear.

Leviticus 23: 23 Adonai spoke to Moses saying: 24 “Speak to Bnei-Yisrael, saying: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you are to have a Shabbat rest, a memorial of blowing (shofarot),[e] a holy convocation. (TLV)

During this time of the year we come together as a community to traditionally begin a ten-day period leading up to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. These ten days are called the yomim nora’im or the Days of Awe.

The sounding of the shofar on Yom Teruah is a wake-up blast and a sober reminder that the time is near for the Day of Atonement. This is an alarm. It is a call to teshuvah, which is repentance and turning back to the commandments of YHWH.

If you are new to the Fall Feasts and would like to learn more about observing the mo’edim (Feast Days) of YHWH, join us  for this  observance.

If you would like to know more about how to observe Yom Teruah, I invite you to read  the teaching on Yom Teruah in the category section  “teachings”.

Until we meet in HaShem’s service,

Shalom and  Blessings
